The big day! The crew arrived about 1:00 pm and got started immediately! Almost as soon as the truck was parked there were two people with chain saws lopping off the limbs that could be reached from the ground and the chipper was running almost as soon as the chains saws were.
It takes several people to keep up with the chainsaws.
That’s a Vermeer VC1800XL Brush Chipper. It will be working hard today!
The first few minutes of hectic activity. Unfortunately, Martin had to shoot these movies from a fair ways back, since stuff was dropping everywhere.
